Milo Davis (b.1997, Hollywood, Florida) received their BFA in Studio Art from the University of Central Florida in 2022.

As a queer mixed-race, first-generation child of a Cameroonian matriarch; Davis processes cultural proximity, experiences of displacement, identity and personal history through immersive figurative compositions. In their practice, Davis references family album photographs and curated anachronistic elements to re-imagine and memorialize the past.

Their paintings envision transcendental futures where children of the diaspora can reconnect to ancestral land and the divine.

Davis recently exhibited in Anthropos with Chilli Arts Projects in London and Embodied Spaces: The Body as Architecture with Strada World in New York City. In 2023, they were awarded a year-long residency at the Maitland Art Center in Florida. Davis lives and works in Maitland, FL.
